Yeah, I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand, they were straightup fucking with an election. It wasn't just a couple of yahoos who loitered on government land, they stopped the electoral college from completing their voting. They accelerated the national insanity. No, I don't think that's the same thing as being found on a park bench after dark. On the other, @Horace said in The Most Deadliest Day: I still see people say with a straight face how “terrifying” they think Jan 6 was. Yeah, that kind of crap has done nothing to cool things down, either. Probably we'd be all better off nationally if we relearned how to have a sense of humor about politics and current events. So, probably a good thing overall they made this.

The first chapter (2nd?) of Atul Gawande's book "Better" deals with battlefield medical triage and how things have changed since WWII. It's fascinating how things have changed.

Nah. In many cases, just give them 40 acres and the ass will move there.

Imagine their surprise when the MAGA heroes return to the dems! They won't believe what has happened.

Hitler wrote a book, and look how that worked out. It was admittedly short on pictures of him in his underwear and/or designer garments, but remember that graphics technology was a lot more primitive back then.

@taiwan_girl said in Return of the Blue Dog?: I kind of remember people saying (maybe even here!!) the US would never recover if President Obama was elected in2008. LOL And we haven’t. LOL.

I think that one other reason for the attacks is that there are more people which = moving into areas the wolves live.

A friend fell asleep on the Chicago subway train. Probably passed out was more accurate as he was drunk. Someone took a razor or knife and sliced his pant pocket and stole his wallet. He did not notice util he woke up!!

@jon-nyc said in Well, that was blunt.: But to try to get thousands of people to sign up for a felony seems really difficult. Inevitably some will refuse and talk. This. In the age where everyone wants to be famous for 15 minutes it is not reasonable to expect there is massive voter fraud with no one talking. (BTW, in general, having a photo ID to vote is not a bad idea. I believe that in most (all?) US states, if you cannot get a driver license, you can still get a state ID.)
